COVID -19 Close Contact Information

Most people exposed to COVID-19, close contacts no longer need to quarantine. However, close contacts should be aware of their potential to become infected and infect others around them.
Pay Attention by:
- Monitor for COVID-19 like symptoms for 10 days after their last exposure.*
- Staying home and get tested if symptoms develop.
- Wearing a well-fitting mask around other people for the 10 days following their last exposure.
- Considering testing approximately five days after their exposure.
- Following guidance for isolation if they test positive or develop COVID-19 symptoms
- *Monitoring yourself for symptoms of COVID-19 could include but is not limited to:
- Fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea.

How to get support to safely stay at home?
There may be support available for people who have been impacted by COVID-19. Possible support could include food boxes, rent/utilities assistance and more.

How to slow the spread of Covid-19:
- Wear a mask that covers your mouth and nose when indoors and outdoors in crowded areas.
- Social distance at least six feet away from those whom you do not live with.
- Wash your hands frequently and clean surfaces with disinfectant.
- Avoid attending large gatherings including those with members who do not live in the same household as you.
- Get vaccinated!
