Colonia Paz Health Fair planned for Sept. 9
LEBANON — The first Colonia Paz Health Fair sponsored by the Linn County Public Health Department and Casa Latinos Unidos will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, at 500 Weldwood Drive, Lebanon.
Organizer Cristal Solorio said the event is free, family-oriented and open to all.
Solorio said her goal is to provide rural Linn County residents with information about a number of services available to them from health care to housing assistance.
Solorio said families will be able to access a variety of health services such as the dental program housed at the River Center in Lebanon and also testing services from Santiam Hospital and Clinics. There will be on-site COVID-19, RSV, and flu PCR testing. There will also be access to testing for certain sexually transmitted infections.
“DevNW will have a booth and provide information about their financial literacy programs,” Solorio said.
Representatives from the Oregon Health Plan will be on hand to provide information about how to enroll and there will be nutrition education experts talking about healthy lifestyles.
Free food will be available and there will be a pinata and a clown for children to enjoy.
