The Linn County Law Library is looking for sources of funding to maintain a Tenant Warm Line with help from the Commons Law Center and to provide a "Lawyer in the Law Library" program for a few hours per week with assistance from Legal Aid Services of Oregon (LASO). The warm line is designed to support the legal needs and concerns of Oregon tenants. The warm line will provide callers with information, referrals, support, landlord-tenant laws and regulations. There is no charge and no referral is necessary. The mission of the Tenant Warm Line and attorney presence in the library is to provide information, education, and support to promote and strengthen the foundations of tenant-landlord relations and help solve legal matters for pro-se litigants.

The warm line will be managed and operated by attorneys from the Commons Law Center and is a  telephone-based, non-crisis, confidential line for tenants struggling with landlord-tenant issues. The tenant warm line will serve as a centralized hub, providing members of the Linn County community (at risk of displacement or facing a housing-related issue) with information about landlord and tenant rights. The tenant-landlord warm line serves persons by providing answers to their questions, giving general advice and direction, and guiding people through the process of filling out forms and writing answers, responses, letters, etc.
