Safe Drinking Water
Public Water Systems
We ensure that public water systems in Linn County consistently comply with the requirements of the federal Safe Drinking Water Act. Public water systems are those drinking water systems that serve:
- Public facilities (such as restaurants, campgrounds, schools, workplaces)
- Residential areas (such as cities, subdivisions, mobile home parks)
More information about public water systems including forms, rules, and guidelines can be found at Oregon Health Authority, Drinking Water Services.
New public water systems, and those undergoing major modifications/additions, must submit plans to Drinking Water Services prior to construction.
