Planning Commission
The Linn County Planning Commission consists of nine members appointed by the Linn County Board of Commissioners (Board) to advise the Board on land use applications and issues.
The Planning Commission provides recommendations to the Board in accordance with the requirements of state law, the Linn County Comprehensive Plan and Linn County Code. The Planning Commission also holds public hearings and takes action on matters that are within their authority.
Commission members must be residents of the various geographic areas of Linn County. At least five Commission members must reside outside incorporated cities. Each Commission seat is a four-year term.
Planning Commission hearings are held at 7 p.m. on the second Tuesday each month in the Old Armory Building, George Miller Room B, in Albany.
Agendas for Planning Commission meetings are available seven days before the Planning Commission meeting.
