Forensic Services

Service Description

Linn County Mental Health Forensic Programs provides assistance to individuals who struggle with mental illness and are involved in the judicial system. This includes supporting individuals who are currently incarcerated (jail diversion services and jail in-reach programs) or individuals who may be mandated to mental health treatments through the courts. Consultation and reporting to the courts, attorneys, law enforcement, and other legal agencies is also available depending on the circumstances of the given case.

Linn County Mental Health Forensic Programs

Jail In-Reach Service

Our Staff provides jail in-reach interventions in attempts to decrease recidivism through mental health supports for adults in custody.

Services can include:

  • Mental Health Groups
  • Crisis Intervention
  • Exit strategy skills training

 

 

Mental Health Specialty Courts

The Linn County Mental Health Specialty Courts provide opportunities for misdemeanor defendants with identified mental health issues to have legal charges and fines dismissed with successful engagement with mental health treatment.

Participating Courts:

  • Albany Municipal Court - Judge Reid
  • Sweet Home Municipal Court - Judge Blake
  • Lebanon Municipal Court - Judge Waite
  • Lebanon Justice Court - Judge Meyer

 

Yellow Line Project

The Yellow Line Project provides an early response to individuals with mental health problems who have become involved with law enforcement.   

The program supports with:                  

  • Making referrals to treatment.
  • Accessing community resources
  • Navigating the legal system
  • Creating a safety plan and goal focused treatment plans for the future.

 

 

Comprehensive Mental Health Treatment

Our forensic team provides short-term comprehensive mental health for individuals involved within the legal system.

  • Medication Management
