Meet Gary A. Goby, MD Linn County, Oregon Medical Examiner

Our Medical Examiner is responsible for investigating all unattended or suspicious deaths in Linn County, Oregon. Oregon Revised Statutes chapter 146 provides guidance and oversight provisions for this department. Currently, Gary A. Goby, MD is our primary Medical Examiner. We're happy to have Dr. Goby as part of our team with his extensive experience and local community knowledge:

  • Rotating Internship, St. John's Mercy Hospital - Creve Coeur, MO
  • Family Practice Residency - Community Hospital of Sonoma County - Santa Rosa, CA
  • U.S. Air Force - Mt Home, ID
  • Operated broad-based Family Practice in Albany, Oregon starting in 1973
  • Linn County Medical Examiner and District Medico-legal Death Investigator since 1975
