Commercial and Office Design Intern 

Description:

Linn County Facilities oversees construction projects, remodels, space planning, interior design, and other vital services for County facilities. Our established internship program has hired over 120 interns in the last 14 years. Interns learn project management skills while working alongside our team, vendors, & industry professionals.

Interns work closely with the Director, Facilities Department staff, internal customers, vendors, and contractors on office improvements. Work with staff to design office layouts and use Bluebeam and Revit to draw and prepare construction submittals. Work includes coordinating schedules with vendors, selecting and purchasing materials, completing cost estimates, and working as a project manager for in-house projects. 

Flexible work schedule:

Fall and Spring Term- Part-time, up to18 hours per week

Summer Term- Part-time, up to 32 hours per week

Work hours are scheduled Monday thru Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Compensation:

$16.00 to $20.00 per hour, dependent upon experience.

Preferred candidate:

Junior or Senior standing in the Interior Design Program.

Revit experience required.
