Juvenile Department Application Requirements:

The following (3) documents are required for consideration for employment with our department.

Failure to submit all of the required documents will result in rejection of your Application.

How your Application Packet is reviewed:

Your application will be reviewed against the qualifications and requirements of the job you applied for, based on the information in the job announcement.

• Minimum Qualifications: It is mandatory that you meet or exceed the Minimum Qualifications in order to be considered for the job.
• Necessary Special Requirements: Some job announcements include requirements for licenses, bilingual ability, certificates, physical strength, etc. It is mandatory that you meet these Special Requirements in order to be considered for the job.
• Driving Record: You must be able to pass a driving records check. An acceptable driving record is one with two (2) or LESS moving violations in the last three (3) years and three (3) or LESS moving violations in the past five (5) years. A DUI conviction in the past five (5) years and/or more than one (1) DUI in total driving history will DISQUALIFY an applicant.

Applicants who meet both the Necessary Special Requirements -- in addition to the Minimum Qualifications, and Driving Record requirements, will be considered stronger candidates.

The reviewer will carefully assess the applications that have met all the Minimum Qualifications and all the Special Requirements (if applicable). From this group, the 7-10 resumes that are the closest match to the job announcement will be considered for interviews.

*** After interviews but prior to any offer of employment, final applicant(s) will be required to authorize and successfully pass a complete Criminal History background check, DHS background check, and a urinalysis, in order to receive an offer of employment.
